- Safety Compliance: Maintains a secure working environment by strictly following hospital policies regarding safety, infection control, and security.
- Emergency Preparedness: Actively participates in mock emergency drills.
- Professional Communication: Answers phone calls with courtesy and professionalism, utilizing proper telephone etiquette.
- Patient Registration: Manages the registration of new patients, ensuring all necessary forms are completed and valid identification is collected.
- Patient Identification: Adheres to hospital policies concerning patient identification during appointment scheduling and registration.
- Financial Accuracy: Ensures accurate entry of rounding fees and other charges as directed by supervisors.
- Appointment Management: Schedules and organizes appointments as required, including transfers and cancellations.
- Patient Communication: Informs patients regarding their reference numbers.
- Cross-Department Support: Provides assistance to other departments as needed.
- Insurance Coordination: Liaises with the Insurance and Finance Departments to facilitate patient care.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Works collaboratively with various departments for both urgent and routine appointment bookings.
