Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Efficiency: Guarantees the effective functioning of the unit by adhering to established protocols.
  • Incident Reporting: Follows the appropriate chain of command for reporting any incidents or concerns that arise.
  • Workload Management: Prioritizes tasks and ensures timely completion of correspondence.
  • Customer Interaction: Provides comprehensive information to prospective clients and hospital personnel, addressing all inquiries related to patient matters.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintains a secure working environment by strictly following hospital policies regarding safety, infection control, and security.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Actively participates in mock emergency drills.
  • Professional Communication: Answers phone calls with courtesy and professionalism, utilizing proper telephone etiquette.
  • Patient Registration: Manages the registration of new patients, ensuring all necessary forms are completed and valid identification is collected.
  • Patient Identification: Adheres to hospital policies concerning patient identification during appointment scheduling and registration.
  • Financial Accuracy: Ensures accurate entry of rounding fees and other charges as directed by supervisors.
  • Appointment Management: Schedules and organizes appointments as required, including transfers and cancellations.
  • Patient Communication: Informs patients regarding their reference numbers.
  • Cross-Department Support: Provides assistance to other departments as needed.
  • Insurance Coordination: Liaises with the Insurance and Finance Departments to facilitate patient care.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination: Works collaboratively with various departments for both urgent and routine appointment bookings.
  • Patient Direction: Guides patients to the appropriate departments as necessary.
  • Patient Satisfaction: Encourages patients to participate in satisfaction surveys to enhance service quality.
  • Marketing Materials: Ensures that all informational stands are stocked and updated with the latest brochures.
  • Staff Orientation: Assists in the onboarding process for new staff members.
  • Workplace Organization: Maintains cleanliness and organization in the workplace and surrounding areas at all times.
  • Record Keeping: Keeps the register book updated to reflect real-time status for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Patient List Management: Updates the patient list to include all mandatory information accurately.
