Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Infrastructure Development: Suggest modifications for existing setup or the installation of new equipment for the improvement and modernization of the Network infrastructure.
  • System Enhancement and Troubleshooting: Direct the enhancement and tuning of automated hardware and software. Review system status, diagnostic logs, and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Issue Resolution and Planning: Identify Major Issues & device Short term & long term solutions for the issues. Administer and configure the DCS Network Hardware and Software which includes OPC servers, Level 3 application servers, service nodes, Cisco Firewalls, Routers, and Switches in the automation network layer.
  • Process Control Network Support: Supports for improvement and maintenance of process control networks of systems such as IPCS, analyzer, Condition Monitoring and F&G.

Planning and Execution

  • Equipment Planning and Updates: Review requirements for new equipment or major repairs, evaluates existing as well as new proposals, and make recommendations to the Section head. Plan, prepare, and execute system software and hardware updates.
  • Obsolescence Planning and Cost Estimation: Perform obsolescence planning for upkeep of the entire system including hardware/software. Providing the estimation cost for Network project.
  • Security and Compliance: Assist in preparation and updating of ISO procedures. Plan and Manage windows patch deployment on Process control network nodes for timely deployment to keep all systems fully patched as per the PCN policy. Maintain the deployment of Domain Architecture and plan for account and policy for better security.
  • Software Upgrades and Security Enhancements: Maintain the deployment of antivirus to all PCN nodes and plans for enhancement of Security on a regular basis to achieve high security perimeter for PCN. Plan and execute upgrades for software of various systems to keep them in the latest supported levels by respective Software OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).
