Core Network Maintenance Engineer

As a key member of our team at Asterix Communications, you will be responsible for supervising and carrying out Fixed Network Operation & Maintenance activities. This includes traffic management, network failures due to traffic and hardware, planned outages, and preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Field maintenance of Core Network, including mobile core and transmission.
- Carry out simple and routine provision/maintenance & fault rectification tasks.
- Attend assigned major/non-routine tasks with minimal supervision.
- Able to carry out Acceptance Tests for Core and Access Network elements in compliance with Etisalat installation & acceptance standard.
- Use various types of test equipment to localize & rectify faults, in addition to routine tests.
- Provide support for maintenance activities, including stores issue, spares, tools, and equipment.
- Clear complicated faults reported by NOC's etc. and report the major faults to superiors.
- Attend call-out & emergency in addition to normal duties.
- Maintain site quality and perform periodic preventive maintenance as per schedule.
- Update knowledge and skills related to new technologies.
- Attend planned/hazardous & outages related to Core, Access & Fiber networks.
Bachelor's/ Diploma Degree in Engineering/ Telecommunications/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 7-10 years' experience in field operation and maintenance of Telecom networks (Transport, IP Switching, Mobile) networks.
