Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Expert to join our team at Rotana Hotels & Resorts. As a Specialty Outlet Chef, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the outlet kitchen, ensuring the highest levels of quality and presentation in all food items.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise and Manage the Outlet Kitchen, ensuring that all food items are prepared and presented in accordance with the hotel's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and standardized menu guidelines.
  2. Monitor and Maintain regular standards of production, ensuring the highest level of quality and consistency in all food items.
  3. Control and Manage all aspects pertaining to the control of the hotel's food cost, ensuring that all expenses are minimized while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  4. Develop and Implement concept ideas and menus for all special events and functions, encouraging all employees to contribute their ideas and utilizing them wherever practical.
  5. Ensure Compliance with HACCP standards and follow the appropriate hygiene standards as per Municipality requirements at all times.
  6. Provide Training and Development opportunities for culinary colleagues, promoting health and safety and ensuring that all employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef's training course and at least three years of experience in quality establishments. You will also need to possess excellent specialized culinary skills, the ability to communicate well in English, and a proven track record of food preparation, presentation, and preservation knowledge.
