Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the system engineering tasks on allocated projects, including:
    • Compiling and maintaining the Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP)
    • Developing specifications of the system and lower-level subsystems to enable development team design
    • Developing Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
    • Developing architectural design in consultation with design authorities at various system levels
    • Collaborating with specialists in a multidisciplinary team
    • Technical management, including performance trade-offs and managing development team and technical outputs
    • Coordinating with logistics/product support development and safety to ensure specialist engineering capability fields are implemented in design
    • Developing the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)
    • Supporting system qualification by documenting test results for compliance reports
    • Following methodology to meet Quality Assurance requirements, including test repeatability
    • Maintaining a decision register documenting major decisions from trade-off studies
    • Coordinating and leading technical Design Reviews in accordance with Acquisition Process/Systems Engineering Phases
    • Coordinating and leading Test Readiness Reviews ahead of important ground tests and flight tests
    • Holding Configuration Control Board (CCB)/Project Configuration Management Boards (PCMBs) with design authorities, CM, QA, and safety
    • Participating in Material Review Boards
    • Generating technical work packages, reports, and presentations to support the PM in preparation for PMRs
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in a high-tech environment, preferably 15 years in aerospace
  • Minimum 5 years (preferably 10 years) of working experience as a systems engineer, with previous experience in aeronautics engineering preferred
