Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Manager with expertise in on-grid and hybrid solar energy systems to lead our engineering team at Asterix Communications. The successful candidate will possess strong technical and managerial skills, with a proven track record in designing and implementing solar projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership and Team Management:
    1. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and technical staff.
    2. Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of the engineering team.
    3. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  2. Project Design and Implementation:
    1. Lead the design, engineering, and implementation of on-grid and hybrid solar projects.
    2. Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
    3. Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  3. Technical Expertise:
    1. Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team on solar PV system design, integration, and performance optimization.
    2. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for potential solar projects.
    3. Stay updated on the latest developments in solar technology and industry best practices.
  4. Project Management:
    1. Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
    2. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
    3. Monitor project progress and resolve any technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  5. Compliance and Standards:
    1. Ensure all projects comply with local, regional, and international standards and regulations.
    2. Conduct regular quality control and assurance checks on ongoing projects.
    3. Implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental protocols.
Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the solar energy sector, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. Extensive experience in designing and managing on-grid and hybrid solar projects. Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
  3. Skills:
    1. Strong leadership and team management skills.
    2. Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
    3. Proficient in solar PV system design software and tools.
    4. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Regional Experience: Demonstrated experience working on solar projects in the Middle East, particularly in the UAE.
