Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Rotana Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and consistency in our daily food production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation and Production: Prepare and coordinate the daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate daily tasks with the Sous Chef or Executive Chef, ensuring that all kitchen staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Quality Control: Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete daily tasks, and ensure that all food products meet our quality standards.
  • Leadership and Training: Instruct and lead subordinate staff through their daily requirements in food preparation, and actively participate in set up and supervising of buffets and special functions.
  • Cost Control and Efficiency: Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage, and cost control, to ensure that our kitchen operations are efficient and cost-effective.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Consult and check on daily requirements, functions, and last-minute events, and guide and train subordinate staff on a daily basis to ensure high motivation and an economical working environment.
