- Develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts and connections.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients and suppliers.
- Account Management
- Maintain close working relationships with the Customer Service, Operations, and Contract Logistics teams.
- Focus on winning and keeping profitable business.
- Represent the company and its policies to clients defined as "Strategic Accounts."
- Commercial Awareness
- Develop commercial awareness and identify market conditions to build growth areas.
- Track and report on sales and business development performance and progress.
- Customer Service
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 5+ years of related Business Development / Sales experience.
- Detailed knowledge of the logistics industry.
- Experience in sea freight and air freight is a must.
- Good connections with shipping lines are essential.
- Must have active clients for immediate movement.
- Proven ability to create new business and client relationships.
- Excellent organization, planning, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- A self-starter, able to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree; candidates with a degree in Business Management will be preferred.
