Job Description

The Business Development Specialist will promote Core Product and cross-sell other FAB products within the assigned Business Territory (field sales) against set financial targets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To achieve or exceed agreed core product sales targets to build a new customer base for FAB.
  • To promote the sales of Core Product in assigned areas or work.
  • To establish and maintain effective business relationships with customers.
  • To support the execution of promotional activities, meetings, and road shows in assigned areas to achieve budgeted sales volumes.
  • To ensure submitted customer applications and documentation are complete and error-free.
  • To follow up on document discrepancies that have been approved as deferrals.
  • To minimize errors and take corrective action if any.
  • To provide regular sales reports to Team Leaders.
  • To provide ongoing customer/market feedback to Team Leaders to enhance business operations.
  • To provide Sales DSR reports to Sales Managers regularly.
  • To maintain a high level of customer service while handling business transactions.
  • To adhere to code of conduct and ethics while performing required duties, especially during KYC document authentications.
  • To capitalize on cross-selling opportunities.
  • To perform duties of Team Leader in their absence if assigned.
  • To recommend customer applications considered good credit risk and in line with FAB policies.
  • Requires good convincing and negotiating skills due to the complexity of relevant products.
  • To be aware of competition and suggest improvements for products.
  • To maintain effective relationships with all branches and internal departments.
  • To handle routine problems and complaints professionally, only escalating significant issues to Team Leaders.
  • To remain vigilant in identifying fraudulent activities/unethical incidents while handling business requirements; concerns should be addressed to Line Managers immediately.
  • No arguments with customers, and no commitments should be given to any customer.
  • Maintain effective relationships with teammates and supervisors.
  • To ensure accurate product information is shared with customers.
  • To adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Policies, and Service Standards of the bank.
