Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and count cash envelopes from the Front Office Drop Safe on a daily basis, with a witness present to verify the count.
  • Open and inspect cash envelopes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Deposit cash and cheques into the hotel's bank account on a daily basis.
  • Prepare a daily report detailing deposits and hand it over to the Income Auditor for posting to the General Ledger.
  • Monitor and control all house banks within the hotel, ensuring accurate reconciliation and maintenance of financial records.
  • Perform spot checks on house banks to ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Manage petty cash float and prepare reimbursement vouchers using the hotel's chart of accounts.
  • Provide change to cashiers and ensure accurate handling of customer transactions.
  • Prepare weekly cash flow statements for review and approval by the Director of Finance.
  • Update the Foreign Exchange rate at the reception on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare a monthly report detailing cash shortages or overages and reconcile with the General Ledger.
  • Manage hotel tobacco stock and prepare journal vouchers after inventory.
  • Coordinate with the bank officer on matters related to financial transactions.
  • Control and manage Star studio entrance tickets and prepare tax payments.
