About the Role
Our client, a prestigious international law firm, is seeking a skilled Revenue Accountant to enhance their finance team. This position is pivotal in overseeing the firm's revenue accounting functions, ensuring precision and adherence to financial regulations while delivering insightful financial analyses to aid strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
As a Revenue Accountant, your duties will include:

  • Revenue Recognition: Supervise and manage the revenue recognition process in compliance with IFRS and firm protocols.
  • Invoice Management: Prepare and review invoices for legal services rendered, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Accounts Receivable Monitoring: Track and reconcile accounts receivable, addressing outstanding invoices and resolving discrepancies.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct regular financial analyses to monitor revenue performance, identifying trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with legal teams to comprehend client billing arrangements and ensure appropriate revenue recognition.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Audit Support: Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and uphold internal controls to protect the firm’s financial integrity.
  • Process Improvement: Offer recommendations for process enhancements to boost efficiency and accuracy in revenue accounting.

Qualifications
To qualify for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in revenue accounting, ideally within a law firm or professional services setting.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and revenue recognition principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • A high level of integrity and professionalism.
