Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tailor to join our team at The First Group Dubai. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and attention to detail in all aspects of tailoring and laundry services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Tasks
    • Ensure all sewing supplies are readily available and well-maintained.
    • Report any equipment malfunctions to the Engineering department via the Housekeeping coordinator.
    • Inspect and repair bedroom and public area curtains and blinds as needed.
    • Assist with small upholstery issues and provide expert advice on fabric selection.
    • Support the laundry team in distributing uniforms and assisting with linen sorting.
    • Collaborate with the linen room team to ensure efficient linen management.
    • Report any damages or missing items in the tailoring area to the Housekeeping department.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Accurately complete required reports and maintain a logbook of daily activities.
    • Record all discarded linen in the logbook.
    • Attend training and communication meetings as scheduled and update monthly training records.
    • Update attendance registers accurately.
    • Process miscellaneous vouchers for guest clothing repair charges.
    • Participate in monthly and quarterly guest supplies and linen inventories.
    • Actively participate in briefings and contribute to team discussions.
    • Demonstrate expertise in fabric selection and knowledge of tailoring machinery.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar capacity.
  • Knowledgeable in fabrics and textile care.
  • Good understanding of tailoring machinery and laundry ironing equipment.
