**Job Summary.**
Reporting to the Senior Business Director, the Operations Manager, DBS, Middle East will manage and co-ordinate field operations to ensure all Downhole Broadband Solutions (DBS) projects in the Middle East region are executed per contract requirements, delivering exceptional value and service to our respective customers, meeting and exceeding internal and external expectations. The Operations Manager position will drive the operational success of all DBS projects within the Middle East region. You will utilize your operational and technical skills to deliver service and value above all. Further, you will implement and manage training and competencies, processes, and quality programs to ensure business alignment. Crucial to this role will be your ability to drive continuous improvement, enhancing the overall service process, performance, and capabilities for our business to surpass metric expectations and targets.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Operations Management and Strategy**
- Manage the DBS field and project operations, driving service and value delivery in the MEA region.
- Responsible for managing and hiring all operations staff and supporting building business structure.
- Support development of field training and competencies, including maintaining and assessing modules.
- Oversee, manage, and record PM and Operations performance, productivity, and operational workflows.
- Schedule, plan and monitor the field personnel utilization in-line with operational demand.
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the reliability of WDP and DBS systems.
- Ensure project P&L forecasting is completed weekly, and periodically per management requirements.
- Set yearly, quarterly, and monthly objectives and targets (O&T) for the respective operations.
- Achieve local operational KPIs and metrics as defined by the MD Totco business. Contribute to, and drive all company HSE policies and procedures in all operational workplaces.
**Performance Monitoring and Analysis**
- Collect and QC Performance Data from Regional Projects (bi-weekly or monthly). Maintain and help develop tools to visualize and report the regional KPIs and overall value performance.
**Collaboration and Support**
- Collaborate with operations support groups and IC partners for optimal service delivery and quality.
- Act as the operational proxy in customer contract meetings, performance workshops and failure investigations.
- Assist with technical sales and presentations with an objective operational input. Contribute to a positive working environment and continuous improvement culture.
**Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement**
- Identify and address areas for process optimization and implement efficiency measures.
- Contribute to the quality and timing of all customer deliverables, meeting, and exceeding customer expectations. Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager.
**EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED**:
**Essential**:
- Engineering degree or similar experience
- Experience in a similar operational position within Oil and Gas segment
- 10+ years Industry Experience in DD and MWD/LWD
- Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Understand Drill String/BHA Components
- T&D, Hydraulics and Vibration Modeling.
- Drilling Dynamics and Optimization
- Log Interpretation
- Service Equipment
**Desirable**:
- Petroleum and or Well / Drilling Engineering degree
- Experince in Geology
- eTools Solutions Software
- Real Time Drilling Optimization and Applications
