Medical Receptionist for Derma Clinic

**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Patient Management**:
- Greet patients as they arrive, providing a warm and professional reception.
- Assist patients in filling out necessary forms and ensure all required documentation is completed.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal appointment flow.
- Verify patient information, including insurance details, and update patient records.
- Answer patient queries regarding dermatology services, treatments, and procedures.
- Provide patients with pre-appointment instructions and post-treatment care guidelines.
- Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and provide general information about the clinic’s services.
- Confirm appointments and remind patients about upcoming visits.
- **Administrative and Clerical Duties**:
- Maintain patient records in compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
- Ensure that all medical records are accurately updated and organized.
- Process patient billing, insurance claims, and payments.
- Manage and maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Prepare and process necessary documentation for patient referrals or insurance submissions.
- Assist in maintaining accurate patient databases for follow-up visits or communications.
- **Insurance Coordination**:
- Verify patient insurance information and ensure coverage for dermatology services.
- Assist patients with the insurance claim process, ensuring accurate documentation is submitted.
- Liaise with insurance companies and medical professionals for claim approval and authorization.
- Ensure the clinic’s reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
- Support the clinic manager and dermatologists in daily administrative tasks.
- Assist in managing the clinic’s daily schedule to ensure efficient patient flow and timely consultations.
- Provide general support to medical staff, including preparing patient files and assisting with treatment preparations.
- Adhere to UAE healthcare regulations related to patient confidentiality (such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, or its local equivalent).
- Ensure that patient information is handled securely and stored appropriately.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in medical administration or healthcare management is a plus.
- **Experience**: Prior experience in a medical receptionist or administrative role, preferably within a dermatology or healthcare clinic.
- **Language Skills**: Proficiency in both English and Arabic (preferred).
- **Technical Skills**: Experience with medical practice management software (e.g., Clinic Management Systems), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- **Customer Service**: Strong communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- **Organizational Skills**: Ability to multitask, manage schedules, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- **Attention to Detail**: High attention to detail, particularly in maintaining accurate patient records and processing billing information.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Knowledge of UAE healthcare regulations and insurance processes.
- Familiarity with dermatology-specific treatments and procedures.
- Experience with billing and insurance claims management.
