The InterContinental Fujairah Resort is situated on the shoreline of the exquisite Al Aqah Beach, beneath the spectacular backdrop of the Hajjar Mountains. An exceptional destination where Arabian hospitality meets luxury. With 190 rooms, indoor & outdoor event space, restaurants & bar. With over 30 languages and countries represented by the staff, the hotel weaves together an international five-star resort presence.

Your Day to Day

As Buyer, you will be reporting to Purchasing Manager and assist him in all purchasing related tasks. Obtain necessary quotes as per Hotel policy and work closely with other departments with purchasing requirements. Maintain records of all purchases and they are kept available to auditors.

Some of your main role responsibilities are:

- Process approved LPOs after obtaining necessary quotes as per policy and procedures
- Recommend best product taking into consideration the price and quality
- Ensure timely supply of products into the property with pro-active approach
- Manage day-to-day activities and performance as desired for the betterment of the organization.
- Educate, train reliever to support job combination initiatives.
- Support teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with key department heads.
- Coordinate with rest of the departments and emphasis on receiving hours
- Treat suppliers with respect and seek assistance of the Purchasing Manager without engaging any heated arguments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

- Have an ample knowledge of Food & Beverage and Engineering items
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Two years working experience in hotel environment or equivalent.
- Fluent in English.
