- **Job Summary**: The Retail IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to retail staff and customers in a fast-paced retail environment. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT systems, assisting with point-of-sale (POS) systems, and ensuring a seamless technology experience for employees and customers.
- **Key Responsibilities**:

- **1. Technical Support**:Provide timely and effective technical support to retail employees and customers via in-person, phone, or remote communication channels.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to POS systems, computers, tablets, printers, scanners, and other retail technology.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues and software configuration problems.
- **2. Point-of-Sale (POS) Systems**:Install, configure, and maintain POS hardware and software systems.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of cash registers, barcode scanners, and receipt printers.
- Train retail staff on POS system usage, troubleshooting common issues, and performing basic transactions.
- **4.User Training**:Conduct training sessions for retail staff to enhance their understanding of IT systems and software, fostering self-sufficiency in basic troubleshooting.
- **5.Documentation**:Maintain accurate records of technical issues, solutions provided, and system changes. Create and update user manuals and guides to assist retail employees in using technology effectively.
- **6.Security and Compliance**:Implement security measures to protect sensitive customer and business data. Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and company policies.
- **Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in providing IT support, preferably in a retail or customer-facing environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with retail staff and customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of data security and privacy practices.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) are a plus.
- **Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and move IT equipment, up to [weight] pounds.
- Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods while performing installations and maintenance tasks.
- Flexibility to work during non-standard business hours, including weekends and holidays, if needed.

**Salary**: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
