**Position**: Chief Concierge

**Department**: Front Office

**Reports to**: Front Office - Supervisor/Manager

**Job Summary**:
Key Front Line Leadership position who leads with passion, the hotel Concierge team in assisting our guests efficiently, courteously and professionally in all Concierge services. These include local area attractions assistance, luggage handling, valet parking and any reasonable guest request. Maintaining
Marriott’s high standard of hospitality at all times by providing professional and personalized service that exceeds expectations; by innovative use of technology and classic hospitality skill sets to provide on the high quality and memorable guest experience.

**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**
- Offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of property, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
- Arrange transportation (e.g., taxi cab, shuttle bus) for guests/residents/visitors, and record advance transportation request as needed.
- Respond to guest/resident requests for special arrangements or services (e.g., spa services, transportation, religious services, babysitting, financial services, business center services, interpretation services, reservations, entertainment/sporting events, shopping) by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers.
- Respond to special requests from guests/residents with unique needs.
- Gather, summarize, and utilize information about the property and the surrounding area amenities, including special events and activities.
- Work flexible hours on a shift basis, including night shift if needed, in accordance with the departmental rota.
- Complete all duties on required check-lists within concierge department.
- Assist with any housekeeping & engineering tasks within reason during the overnight shift
- Develop and maintain knowledge of room types, room product
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the property, staff, services and the hours of operations.

Identify and explain room features to guests (e.g., use of room key, in-room safe, etc.).
- Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette including answering the phone within 3 rings, answering with a smile in one's voice, using the callers' name, transferring calls to appropriate person/department, requesting permission before placing the caller on hold, taking and relaying messages, and allowing the caller to end the call. Ensure that all SOPs are adhered to.
- Handles guest messages & wake up call’s in accordance with SOPs.
- Handle any guest problems or complaints in a professional and hospitable manner. Ensure they are resolved and followed through using the LEARN and service excellence process.
- Understand and comply with the Hotel’s Fire and Safety procedures. To undergo training in all fire and security measures every quarter.
- Ensure the cleanliness and neatness of the Concierge desk and all office areas.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and wear proper uniform at all times (incl. Name badge). Adhere to the hotel’s grooming standards as stated in the associate handbook and any relevant departmental grooming standards.
- To be fully trained and knowledgeable in Empower GXP to be able to execute the key daily tasks related to the program. These tasks include but are not limited to: Mobile Chat, entering guest requests, pro-active chat and pre-arrival processes.
- Shift will require to Stand or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. This would also include the possibility to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. In addition there may be the need to Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces or move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
- Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving property.
- Assist guests/visitors in and out of vehicles, including assisting guests with loading/unloading luggage.
- Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell area.
- Assist with luggage storage and retrieval.
- Tag, store, and retrieve luggage from luggage storage, providing guests with proper claim tickets for their luggage.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested

**Salary**: Up to AED5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dubai: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (required)

**Experience**:

- hospitality: 3 years (required)
- hotel industry: 4 years (required)
