**About this role**
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Assistant Manager. As the Assistant Manager - Front of House, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational efficiency, and fostering a positive and motivated team environment. You will collaborate closely with the General Manager and work to uphold our establishment's standards of excellence in service.
**Tasks, duties and responsibilities**
**Opening procedures**
- Opening up the building
- Prepare Session plan for the day
- Opening tills
- Guest Management / iZone (Very good understanding)
- Bookings Management
- Restaurant & Bar set up
- Check Availability / Limitations with Kitchen and Bar
- Checking Produce levels and stock
- Inputting previous days hours / shifts onto Fourth
**Closing**
- End of Day. Closing Tills/Zonal/Back Office/Aztec
- Restaurant & Bar close Down
- Lock up Building
**EPOS**
- Stock Mode (Removing / Adding products based on limitations)
- New Users (Basic Zonal Understanding)
- Voids / Waste / Discount Procedure
**During Shift**
- To comfortably provide support to the Assistant / General Manager.
- To comfortably step in for General Manager on days off / absence
- Ensure the smooth running / management of the floor / service
- Ensure total satisfaction of all customers
- Booking management for the day as well as upcoming days.
- Complaint handling
- Conflict resolution with team
- Recording timesheets (Paper)
- Manage shifts / cover / Reviewing staffing levels for the day and upcoming week. Make informed decisions
- Work with the kitchen to ensure the food is of the highest quality and orders to kitchen are well managed.
**Additional duties / Responsibilities**
- A very good understanding of all operating systems.
- Fourth, Aztec, and Guest Fourth - Good understanding.
- Ability to assist in Rota writing and management, staff / revenue cost input and analysis.
- Guest Management Back of House - Good understanding - Time slot management, table plan management, opening and closing online bookings, blocking tables.
- Assist GM in weekly management of wastage, corrections, reductions and reporting.
- Voucher Stock management.
- Assist in Back to work meeting following absences.
- Pro-actively look to push the floor & business forward in terms of standard and promotions.
- Assist in maintaining a positive culture throughout the front of house team.
- To ensure effective and positive communication between team members and departments / management.
- To ensure the standards of cleanliness, health & safety, and maintenance are maintained at all times.
- Managing stock levels of menus, table talkers, flyers, events calendars, colouring in sheets etc.
- Maintain strict stock control - ensure procedures for movement of wet & consumables stock are in place and adhered to. Ensure stock shortages are identified beforehand.
- Ensure stock rotation is adhered to when storing deliveries.
- Welcome new starters to the company / restaurant. First day orientation, paperwork. Managing training plan for new starters.
- Maximise average spends & number of covers through driving training and communication systems through managers & team members.
- Evaluate performance and products on a regular basis in order to recognise challenges of the future.
- Ensure that all Health and safety regulations are adhered to, to ensure the safety of all of our customers and employees.
