**Role**

The Finance Officer for a crypto custody service provider is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This includes bookkeeping, financial planning and analysis, budget management, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

**Responsibilities**
- Monthly calculation of prepayments and accruals.
- Review of payroll.
- Preparation of the accounting policy and procedures manual.
- Monthly review and evaluation of entire bookkeeping schedules ensuring they comply with professional standards, IFRS and the firm policies.
- Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining all financial records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
- Verify assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation.
- Review the balance sheet substantiations for all accounts.
- Assist and support the internal and external audits.
- Review the annual financial statements.
- Critical review of findings or significant areas in the financial reports - raise questions involving accounting principles, auditing standards, accounting standards and firm polices.
- Regulatory return review and submission.
- Needs to be a Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance
- 8 to 10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting

**Skills required**

**Technical Skills**:

- Accounting Proficiency: Knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Ability to generate and interpret financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Budgeting: Skills in forecasting and budget planning.
- Taxation: Understanding of tax laws and regulations, both local and international if the business is global.
- Auditing: Knowledge of internal and external auditing processes.
- Financial Software Expertise: Proficiency in using financial software and tools like QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.

Analytical Skills:

- Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze financial data to derive insights and forecasts.
- Critical Thinking: Evaluate the pros and cons of financial decisions before implementation.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify financial discrepancies or anomalies and address them.

Strategic Skills:

- Financial Strategy Development: Ability to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Risk Management: Knowledge of financial risk factors and mitigation strategies.

Communication Skills:

- Presentation: Ability to present financial data comprehensibly to stakeholders.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate with other departments and negotiate with external entities.
- Written Communication: Produce clear financial reports, memos, and other related documentation.

**Requirements**:

- Should be Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 8 to 10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, in financial management, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Experience with financial planning and analysis, budget management, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and forecasts, and develop financial reports and analyses.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and other departments.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial management software.
- Knowledge of Quickbooks/Xero is an additional advantage.
