Assistant Manager - Accounts (Construction Industry)
Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements. Generate reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor variances between actual and budgeted financial results, providing recommendations for improvement.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Maintain relationships with vendors and clients to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Cost Control: Monitor project costs and expenses, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Collaborate with project managers to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. Support external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Evaluate investment opportunities, assess financial risks, and provide insights to senior management.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development opportunities.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Leverage technology and automation tools where appropriate.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or similar professional certification preferred.
Proven experience in accounting or finance roles within the construction industry, with a solid understanding of construction accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms. Advanced Excel skills are essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the construction industry.
Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
