- Job Purpose

To collect, organize, analyze and present qualitative and quantitative statistical information in order to understand and identify patterns and trends, which will be used in research activities and studies in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences.
- Main accountabilities & expectations- Perform qualitative and quantitative data and statistical analysis using a variety of software tools to aggregate data, and prepare standard reports in appropriate formats, as well as complete data entry, data analysis, and Interpretation activities.
- Compile and analyze data and interpret trends, fluctuations, and other changes that may emerge.
- Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex statistical analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of standardized exams and design evaluations for different purposes using the best available practices and standards.
- Manage and supervise the Social Sciences Lab (SSL) facilities and making sure that the equipment and machines are in good working order and recommends improvements as appropriate to maintain standards of accuracy and reliability.
- Supervise any related research activities conducted by research members, groups, and graduate students at institute, as well as guide them to determine the most appropriate analytical methodology needed, and report and document the processes.
- Assist in the preparation of research proposals, research projects, and the proposals for any required funding.
- Update and upgrade the institute's page in the University's website and any other online platforms when required.
- Develop forms and procedures required for the collection and compilation of data, as well as design database specifications and modify existing software packages to meet specific research project needs.
- Prepare various research reports, analysis and statistics related to the Research Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences when requested by the line manager.
- Ensure the security, integrity and confidentiality of any incoming or outgoing information/data.

- **Required Skills**:

- Preferred Qualification & Experience- Minimum of Master's degree in Applied Statistics or a similar field.
- 2-4 years of UAE experience in similar role in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences, preferably in higher education institutions.
- Priority is to UAE Nationals.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to prepare professional documents, in both Arabic and English.
- Excellent knowledge of related programming languages, such as SQL, Oracle and SPSS.
- Ability to use Adobe programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is a plus.

- The ability to analyse, model and interpret data.
- Ability to write comprehensive reports.
