We focus on design, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, decommissioning and dismantling also covering logistics and documentation.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Design, Construction, and Acquisition**:
- Lead and oversee the design and construction of naval systems and sensors, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the acquisition process for naval systems and sensors, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and procurement.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and project management teams to ensure the successful execution of system and sensor construction and acquisition projects.
- ** Operation and Maintenance Oversight**:
- Oversee the operational aspects of naval systems and sensors, ensuring they are maintained and operated at peak efficiency.
- Implement best practices for the operation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of naval systems, including radars and CMS.
- Monitor the performance of systems and sensors, recommending and implementing upgrades or modifications as necessary.
- ** Strategic Planning and Contract Management**:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the procurement and management of naval systems and sensor contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Draft detailed contract specifications and manage quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Conduct comprehensive price and cost analysis of contracts, ensuring competitive pricing and maximizing value for the organization.
- ** Quality Assurance and Compliance**:
- Ensure that all naval systems and sensor projects adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with contractual specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Implement corrective actions and continuous improvements based on audit findings and performance assessments.
- ** Vendor and Stakeholder Management**:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders involved in naval systems and sensor projects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters related to naval systems and sensor contracts, including negotiations, issue resolution, and performance monitoring.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- ** Financial and Risk Management**:
- Perform detailed financial analysis and budgeting for naval systems and sensor projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial viability.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the design, construction, acquisition, and operation of naval systems and sensors.
- Prepare and present financial and technical reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Extensive experience in the design, construction, acquisition, and operation of naval systems and sensors, including radars and Combat Management Systems (CMS).
- Expertise in contract management, including strategic planning, specification writing, quality assurance, and cost analysis.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in naval systems and sensor engineering.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable.
