We have an exciting new opportunity for a Naval Architect to join our global Oil & Gas service client, to be based in Abu Dhabi.
The Naval Architect will be responsible for Providing technical guidance & support to the operation & technical teams, assessing the condition of the vessel or structure, and recommending repairs or modifications as required.
**THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT**- Familiar with the design of jack-up barges, leg structures and associated marine systems.-
- Has a good working experience knowledge of the shipbuilding industry & shipyard management.-
- Good understanding of marine equipment in offshore accommodation platforms.-
- Should have a sound knowledge of ABS MODU codes and all other codes/regulations pertaining to mobile offshore units (MODU code, IMO / SOLAS, MARPOL)-
- Good analytical skills, well organized and exercise sound judgement in decision making.-
- Good problem-solving and communication skills-
- Team player.**JOB DESCRIPTION**- Ensures compliance with classification society rules, international maritime regulations, and local standards.-
- Creates detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for ship construction, systems integration, and outfitting.-
- Project Manages & liaises with operations, technical and shipyard teams to ensure seamless repairs & upgrades of ship systems and components.-
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and hazards associated with design and propose mitigation measures to enhance safety.-
- Provides leadership and technical expertise in the management of assigned repair and mobilization projects.-
- Liaise with all project stakeholder’s owner/client, design consultants and subcontractors as well as the project team assuring a successful outcome for all parties.-
- Ensure Projects are completed on time, within the approved budget limits and to the agreed quality standards.-
- Ensure information/updates on projects and mobilizations are available to all relevant project’s stakeholders at all times.-
- Flexibility to travel at times to shipyard / offshore travel occasionally required.-
- Completing site specific HSE Inductions.-
- Becoming familiar with and complying with all company HSSEQ Policies, Standards, Procedures & Life Saving Rules.-
- Taking personal accountability to ensure own safety and that of other colleagues, clients, visitors and/or contractors.-
- Complying with company incident/accident reporting processes and any HSE initiatives.**REMUNERATION PACKAGE ON OFFER**
