With more than 900 stores across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa, the Pizza Hut META business unit is headquartered with a Restaurant Support Centre (“RSC”) in Dubai, UAE with a second base in Johannesburg, RSA. It is a growing business across over 30 countries, with 35 franchisees, and accelerated plans over the next five years to achieve explosive growth, significantly increasing the number of restaurants in the region. Given the franchise nature of the business, Pizza Hut META offers a full spectrum with the entrepreneurial dynamism of a start-up, alongside the commercial strengths and scale of a well-established business. We have a variety of POS, e-commerce, smart kitchen tech and martech solutions across the region.

**Chief Digital & Technology Officer**

We are looking for a Chief Digital & Technology Officer for our META business, with proven track record in leading digital transformation and directing complex projects, to be part of a fun, fast paced and supportive culture, where all our success comes from our belief in people and investing in our top talent.

As an established digital leader, you will have the skills to influence at every level, imparting your digital knowledge and skills in a constructive, empowering, and collaborative way. You will be responsible for leading and developing the Technology team. As a member of the Leadership Team, you will be working closely with stakeholders within the business unit, functional Senior Leaders and our franchise community. Your goal will be to drive growth and strategic renewal by helping us complete our digital transformation, ensuring the overall tech stack works seamlessly for the benefit of the customer and the teams in store. You will focus on creating new value through the smart use of digital tools, platforms, technologies, services, and processes.

**What you’ll do**:
**Capability Building, Leadership & Direction**
- Provide direction, leadership, and coaching to both permanent and contractor expertise within the Technology team, focusing on functional goals delivery as well as people capability building
- Hold self and team to high standards at all times, and be proactive in identifying, assessing and mitigating strategic risks when teams are balancing time and quality.
- Build awareness across the business and franchise community on technology projects, and technology enablement of other projects initiatives, which includes but is not limited to awareness on Technology strategy, projects and integration with the business’ objectives.
- Ensuring RSC, Franchise partners and key vendors have the resources and know-how to successfully execute and deliver within their teams.

**Technology Strategy & Leadership**
- Sets out the enterprise strategy for technology and defines the future releases, accounting and balancing business drivers, supplier roadmaps, project dependencies and technical constraints.
- Directs the planning and execution of release plans, facilitating the coordination the relevant suppliers - internal and external - and is accountable for the communication of this to all stakeholders.
- Be accountable for the direction, design and implementation of policies across infrastructure to provide working technology systems in line with corporate standards.
- Accountable for the establishment and management of the relevant budgets across the Technology teams.
- Accountable for strong configuration management and version control disciplines being in place across the Technology team.
- Determines the structures and resourcing across Technology in partnership with HR & Finance.
- Be accountable for the overall Technology strategy documentation.
- Sets the strategies and advocate with business and Technology representatives on controlled releases.
- Sets the Technology team plans and schedules and be accountable for reporting on progress, risks, issues and sets direction on delivery to time, quality, and cost.
