Dubai, United Arab Emirates Architectural and Design Firm- Dubai Full time

**Job Objectives**:

- To facilitate all aspects of commercial, legal and contractual matters pertaining to the day-to-day operations of the company Middle East office.
- Working closely with the Directors and Senior Management, responsibilities will cover project costings, profitability and forecast financial projections / reporting; analysis and recommendations relating to contractual terms and conditions and liaising dealing with project legal matters as they may arise (in conjunction with the company's external law firm as applicable).

**Responsibilities will include, but not limited to**:

- Serve as the commercial & legal facilitator for all the company Middle East projects and support the Directors and Senior Management Team on both aspects.
- Ensure integration of legal, HR, insurance and finance considerations into proposals and contracts.
- Take responsibility for reviewing and making recommendations to the Directors in relation to commercial terms contained in proposals, tenders and contracts.
- Prepare financial schedules & job cost reporting in relation to all projects in close coordination with the company Design Management Team / Project Director(s).
- Develop & finalize consultant contracts.
- Review of all correspondence, checking and drafting of future commercial and contractual correspondence to the Client, Project Managers, Consultants and sub-Contractors.
- Review tender documents/RFPs for contractual and commercial suitability before issue of bids.
- In conjunction with the Design Management Team, manage project change control processes and ensure that any contractual changes agreed are drafted and formalised.
- Oversee all contracts and ensure that all legal documents are correctly maintained and updated.
- Ensure that any business the company enters into is legally compliant and bears the minimum acceptable exposure to risk. Make recommendations to the Directors / Senior Management in this regard.
- Working closely with the Design Management Team, examine options in relation to corrective actions that can be taken to improve the financial performance of low performing projects.
- Ensure commercial correspondence is kept up to date and sub-contractor contractual Agreements are in place.
- Ensure all required project insurances are in place and renewed annually as per the contract/client requirement.
- Utilising the DELTEK Management Software System, provide reports on the progress of projects against financial / profitability requirements, cashflow, etc. and inform the Directors / Senior Management on project performance against business metrics.
- Provide assistance to the Finance Manager in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts for the Company.
- In conjunction with the Directors, analyse current and future industry developments and identify potential new business opportunities.
- Manage, mentor and appraise members of the company's Commercial & Legal Department support team. Play a lead role in assisting team members to become more commercially and legally competent in their approach.
- Challenge the existing modus operandi and processes that are currently embedded in the company culture, and suggest improvements as may be applicable.

**Minimum requirement & Experience**:

- Degree qualified, preferably in a commercial and/or legal-related course
- 7+ years of experience in a financial, commercial, analytical role
- Work experience in an Architectural Consultancy or the Construction Industry based in the Middle East preferred
- High level of confidentiality

Pay: AED20,000.00 - AED25,000.00 per month
