Job Description:
As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective execution of our manufacturing processes. Your primary responsibility will be to create and manage production schedules that optimize resource utilization, meet customer demands, and minimize production costs. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and sales, to achieve seamless production operations.

Key Responsibilities:
**Production Scheduling**: Develop detailed production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity. Ensure that production timelines are aligned with customer expectations and company goals.

**Resource Allocation**: Coordinate with production teams to allocate manpower, equipment, and materials for each production run. Optimize resource utilization to meet production targets and minimize downtime.

**Inventory Management**: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate stock availability while preventing overstocking or shortages.

**Demand Forecasting**: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to gather accurate demand forecasts. Use this information to adjust production plans and ensure sufficient inventory to meet customer orders.

**Capacity Planning**: Analyze production capacity and capabilities to identify potential bottlenecks or constraints. Propose strategies to enhance production efficiency and expand capacity as needed.

**Production Monitoring**: Track production progress, identify any deviations from the schedule, and address issues in a timely manner. Ensure that production processes adhere to quality standards and safety regulations.

**Communication**: Maintain open communication channels with cross-functional teams, including procurement, quality control, and logistics. Provide updates on production status, potential delays, and any other relevant information.

**Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the production planning and scheduling processes. Implement best practices to optimize production workflows.

**Data Analysis**: Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions in production planning.

**Documentation**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production schedules, inventory levels, and production performance metrics.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering).
- Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related role within a manufacturing environment. Paper Bags industry will be a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaborating across teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
