VIE CIB Global Trade Solutions Analyst, MEA Team - Abu Dhabi, M/F

Your mission should you accept it ?

You will assist in the handling daily flow business. You will support the daily deal flow, submit requests for approvals for credit limits, prepare RAROC (Risk-Adjusted Return On Capital) calculations, handle requests for pricing of guarantees to be issued through the network and follow up on deals to the back offices.

You will manage the information process of Trade Finance (TF) activity. You will update and provide maintenance of the management tools i.e. the relevant data bases. You will prepare, provide reporting of all information linked to Trade Finance activities (revenues reporting, activity reporting, capital reporting, etc), check the RWA database of all transactions and take necessary action.

You will provide commercial support in Trade Finance. You will analyse clients in order to identify GTS product opportunities. You will prepare corporate visits that means preparation of client analysis and relevant pitch books. You will incidentally meet clients and prospects.

You will join the digital community to spread best practices in terms of digitization of trade finance business, help GTS trade managers to pitch, onboard clients on our digital channels solutions.

What about your future team and work environment ?

Global Trade Solutions is in charge of "flow" transactions typically referred to as Trade Finance (Documentary Credits, International Guarantees) and Supply Chain Management products.

You will be an integral part of the GTS MEA team. You will assist in the daily management of the incoming requests, support the Head of GTS and rest of the GTS MEA team. The focus will be on daily management of the “flow products”, preparation of internal management reporting and pre-sales activities. You will interact with the middle and back offices, clients, other trade centers and relationship managers.

Apart from the experience of working in an international environment, you will truly learn how banks take decisions on how to support their corporate customers.

You will do financial analysis on Corporate clients, work on sales pitches and simulate return calculations for the bank. These skills are useful in a variety of departments, and as such your time with GTS provides a solid basis to continue your career within Corporate Coverage, Credit Analysis, Risk, GTS or Business Management.

You will gain knowledge of traditional trade finance products such as bank guarantees, documentary payments, L/C’s, bank and country risk mitigation and supply chain management. You will learn how to operate in a bank dealing with colleagues and handling requests, how to deal with clients and work with risk return tools (RAROC). This VIE will provide a learning curve for basic cash flow, credit analysis.

In general, a wide range of job opportunities in corporate banking may be possible after this experience varying from starting position in relationship management or other product areas or credit analysis. The most obvious may be a next step in trade finance or SCM.

Are you our next VIE Global Trade Solutions Analyst ?

You have a master degree majoring in finance. You have gained first experience (internships and work-study program included) in this field, preferably within an investment bank. You have a solid financial knowledge.

You speak fluent English. French and/or Arabic language skills would be an advantage.

You have a very good command of Excel.

You demonstrate rigor and effective organisation skills. You show good teamwork. Your results-driven approach and your ability to adapt will be assets to be successful in this mission.
