- Fundamental analyst working in a commodities pod covering the gas and power markets.

We are representing a prestigious global multi-strategy hedge fund specializing in investment strategies across various asset classes. With a proven track record of delivering exceptional results to their investors, they continue to expand their portfolio by leveraging their deep market insights and expertise. As they aim to further strengthen their commodities division, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundamental Analyst to join their dynamic team and work closely with their Commodities Portfolio Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of the gas and power markets, focusing on key market trends, supply and demand dynamics, pricing mechanisms, regulatory changes, and geopolitical factors.
- Collaborate closely with the Commodities Portfolio Manager to generate investment ideas and develop trading strategies within the gas and power markets.
- Provide timely and accurate research reports, investment recommendations, and market updates to support the decision-making process.
- Stay updated with relevant news, industry publications, and market data to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks.
- Monitor and assess portfolio positions, track performance, and identify areas for optimization or risk mitigation.
- Participate in meetings with clients, industry experts, and internal teams to share insights, discuss investment strategies, and provide expert opinions on gas and power market trends.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or similar) preferred.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Fundamental Analyst, preferably within the gas and power markets. Experience working in a hedge fund or commodities trading firm is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of gas and power market fundamentals, including supply and demand dynamics, regulatory frameworks, pricing mechanisms, and key drivers of market volatility.
- Proven track record of analyzing complex data, interpreting market trends, and generating actionable investment recommendations.
- Proficient in utilizing financial models, statistical analysis tools, and market research databases.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
