Commis Kitchen Assistant Bakery

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the preparation of doughs, batters, and other bakery items according to recipes and production schedules.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and proofers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Execute baking techniques with precision to achieve desired textures, flavors, and appearances for various baked goods including bread, pastries, and desserts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace, including storage areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times, following proper handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and ensure product freshness.
- Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to develop new recipes, menu items, and seasonal offerings.
- Assist in the decoration and presentation of baked goods, incorporating creative techniques to enhance visual appeal.
- Follow established portion control guidelines to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Support senior bakery staff in training and mentoring junior team members, sharing knowledge and skills to foster growth and development.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience working in a bakery or pastry kitchen, preferably in a similar role.
- Formal culinary education or apprenticeship program completion is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently, with attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- A passion for baking and a dedication to delivering high-quality products to customers.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation practices is a plus.
**Salary**: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
