Job Description:
- Develops operational plans and ensures the smooth operation of the business in all its aspects to achieve its operational and strategic goals and develops commercial strategies for growth and sales improvement.
- Oversees the key financial indicators and ensures that controls are in place to enhance accountability, increase profitability and gain market share.
- Establishes, implements and monitors annual sales and budget plans from realistic forecasts for each product and territory based on historical data, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy and sales effort.
- Ensures that operations in the country adhere to all the country’s regulations and cultural guidelines.
- Monitors, observes and develops the performance of medical representatives in the field on a regular basis through field effective coaching visits.
- Ensures that all sales representative activities are in accordance with the company Code of Conduct.
- Establishes and monitors the implementation of advertising and promotional plans, being directly involved in the positioning of the product and the global market development of the brand.
- Monitors Return on Investments while redirecting efforts to deliver optimum quality of work.
- Fosters good relationship with key opinion leaders (KOL); builds and maintain strategic business relationship with all stakeholders.
- Develops new business leads and current accounts through effective and efficient business development research to promote sales growth and increase sales revenues.
- Assesses company progress, sales and marketing success; compiles and submits reports to head office regarding budgets, sales movement, new business leads, regulatory compliance, etc.
- Coordinates closely with the local distributor to ensure proper coverage, new accounts’ openings, in alignment with the company’s expansion plans; manages the stock and follows up to ensure optimum storage and distribution conditions in the warehouse.
- Develops and implements internal systems and policies for the efficient flow of logistics, commercial and financial information in line with the head office.
- Oversees the hiring and training of staff in the country of responsibility and is directly involved in staff selection, training development, scheduling, performance evaluation and ongoing professional development of employees.
- Responsible for setting and explaining objectives for the team, monitoring and mending team performance, ensuring proper and sufficient training to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
- Ensures being up-to-date with the newest medical and clinical data and the activities of the health care professionals in the area under responsibility.
- Ensures proper follow up for the competitors’ products, services and activities.
- Attends regional and international events.
- Anticipates, assesses and resolves complex problems which impact the work of the company in the affiliate country and/or are critical to the business.
- Provides a pro-active approach to problem solving and changing business needs so as to anticipate and resolve complex and / or urgent problems.
- Undertakes any other projects, tasks, additional responsibilities assigned.**Requirements**:
- Bachelor of Science in pharmacy, Medicine, VET. Medicine, biology, or any related field.

10+ years of successful commercial experience in pharmaceutical industry.- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management position at country or business-unit level, with people management and P&L responsibilities.
- Ability to build and lead high performing teams while maintaining highest integrity.
- Proven ability to influence across a range of diverse stakeholders.
- Track record of successfully leading organizational change.
- Customer orientated.
- Result oriented.
- Excellent strategic and planning skills.
- Proven coaching and mentoring experience.
- Business acumen.
