Responsible for
The Officer
- Vessel Planning is responsible for planning and overseeing all phasesof vessel operations. That includes preparation of cost-effective operationalplan, planning and distribution of the actual stowage of cargo, and relatedreports. Additionally, the planning officer oversees the vessel loading anddischarge planning processes, as well as the optimal use of the bunker, whilekeeping in mind vessel stability, safety, and efficient vessel operations

Interaction regards to payment of bunkering, port cost & chartering.

Interaction regards to vessel schedule, discuss customer queries &approval of dangerous goods

Technical Executive:
Coordination for procurement of bunker and dry docking

IT Executive:
Broad casting of vessel schedule on website

Vessel Master:
Day to Day coordination regards to vessel report, bunker consumption& loading, and discharge EDI (stowage/re-stowage plan)

Objectives and Role Profile
- Day to Day coordination with vessel master /terminal planner and terminal agency for efficient vessel operations.
- Preparing long term and downline schedule ofthe vessel in service based on service proforma.
- Preparation of stowage plan with dangerouscargo manifest, reefer manifest and over-dimension manifest and coordinate withvessel master and terminal planner for final approval.
- Manages cargo planning to ensure that astable vessel is always maintained during cargo operations as well as the finalstowage for departure.
- Ensure the strict adherence with theInternational Maritime Dangerous Cargo code and the Code of Federal Regulations(IMDG and CFR) when planning and approving hazardous cargo.
- Planning ship routes for efficientutilization of bunker.
- Preparing recovery plan if the operationalcost of service exceeds the service proforma.
- Preparing weekly reports (bunker consumption/ vessel performance report / capacity utilization / Agency performance)

Liaison with terminalplanner for berthing and faster turn-around of vessel
Key Tasks and Performance Indicators
- Coordinate with terminal planner for cranework sheet and crane density to prepare terminal productivity report.
- Accountable for round voyage duration, bunkerutilization, vessel performance and vessel turnaround at terminal.

Manage and resolveclaims (cargo claims, container damage, vessel damage) in consultation withlegal team where required
Qualifications/Experience/Competencies
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in marine engineering, mechanicalengineering, or other technical discipline
- Executive course in Logistics,operations management, ship operations & planning will be an addedadvantage.

Certification in hazardous cargo handling.
