Accountable To

The Planner is responsible for the planning of vessel discharge and load operations. The planning takes into account vessel stability, safety, and an efficient yard and vessel operation, insure updating Marine VTS on vessel expecting, berths, positions and any related information’s.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Provides the vessel & yard operation administration.
- Acts as a focal point for vessel and yard planning activities.
- Reports problems and issues especially issues of complexity or impact on the operation.
- Responsible for providing vessel and shipping agents with information about vessel load and discharge processes.
- Based on inputs from the Planning Section(s) & Operations Duty Superintendent(s), keep the forward planning board always updated with all the relevant data for each Operations unit.

Working Relationship
- Update the system with all the relevant information like berth plan, crane schedules, crane work shifts, vessel visit schedules, gang allocation.
- Generate necessary VOR (Vessel Operations Reports) and other reports in required format and mail it to the relevant department.
- Provision of weekly/monthly summary report of vessel arrival and handling.
- Prepares and communicates vessel load plans and vessel work plans.
- Keeps the quay-operation and vessel administration systems updated.
- Controls the execution of the vessel operation plan.
- Objectives and Role Profile
- Preparation and execution of vessel discharge and load sequence to support, achieve & sustain productivity targets per quay crane operation
- Manage and control the execution of the vessel operation plan, ensuring that the vessel file is closed within two hrs. of the completion of vessel operations.
- Finalize and provide all loading documents, and quay crane working sequence. Ensure that all vessels receive final departure paperwork in a timely manner
- Prepare weekly & monthly statement of ENE stevedoring company to finance section.
- Participate in the development of departmental HSE programs, objectives, work instructions and operational procedures.
- Key Tasks and Performance Indicators
- Demonstrate compliance to the requirements of AD Ports Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management System Near Misses & HSE Observations and follow-up the implementation of corrective actions.
- Plan and participate in carrying out monthly HSE inspection & the Risk Assessments.
- Identify & investigate potential hazards and dangerous occurrences at the workplace.

Qualifications/Experience/Competencies
- Minimum High School.
- MS Office, Internet, E-mail
