Sous Chef

The Sous Chef main role is to Oversees and supervises decoration staff. Assists with Job orders, Trains new employees, and Schedules staff shifts. Ensures that food is top quality and that kitchen is in good condition. Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY**
- Ensure all cake products meet the standards of quality and excellence.
- Distribute the daily Job orders to the staff
- Main duties will include decorating cakes and other baked items based on requirement.
- You will ensure that all products meet the highest quality, freshness, and food safety standards.
- Responsible for handling all kind of customized cakes based on complexity (Simple to VIP).
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all food safety and sanitation requirements throughout your daily work.
- Responsible for excellent customer service and quality products.
- Responsible for the creation and supervision of case cakes and custom cookies and other.
- Responsible for delivering the cakes at right time
- Experience in preparing decoration cakes for all occasions, taking custom cake orders, following through to create cakes and assisting with deliveries as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
- Ability to follow company policies & procedures.
- Experience and responsible for Size and Structure of different cakes.
- Manage order in Professional way.
- Create or reproduce hand-made objects for cake decoration and exhibition using the variety of techniques and materials
- Design unique, alluring and appropriate designs for toys request for personalized cakes.
- Manage or control the actual manufacture process and approve final proofing.
- Develop concepts or creative ideas for craft objects
- Sketch or draw objects to be crafted
- Select materials for use based on strength, color, texture, balance, weight, size, flexibility and other characteristics
- Fabricate patterns or templates to guide craft production
- Any other task assigned by the production Head.
3 ADDITIONL RESPONSABILITIES
- Responsible for decoration team in absence of production Head.
- Manage the staff and create mistake free atmosphere.
- Submitting daily & weekly report in ERP software after discussing with Production Head.
- Guide, Support and train the fellow Staff.
- Responsible for the job orders based on Matching complexity & update in Awery Executor.
- Responsible for staff punching, scanning the job orders & Updating in ERP software.
- Ability to manage the decoration team, Shifts, Schedules and Overtime.
- Plan & Inform Overtime in advance to staff and logistics.
- Communication with other departments to complete the job order.
- Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
- Understand the emergence situation and act accordingly.
4 QUALIFICATION/SKILLS
- School diploma or equivalent.
- Management skills.
- Leadership.
- Hand-eye Coordination.
- Time Management.
- Ability to handle a team of decorators and work independently without supervision.
- Deals with uncertainty.
**KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS**
- Cake products meet the standards of quality;
- Responsible for Decoration team during the absence of HOD.
- Responsible for managing the difficulty of cake and making it done by subordinates;
- Managing the Shift Schedule (quantity of non-scheduled leaves);
- Reduce delay in order.
**Salary**: AED4,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
