Overview:
You will be playing a lead role in formulating business strategy, new venture incubation, developing strategic partnerships and alliances and leading cross-group projects and initiatives, across our growing portfolio of companies.
**Role and Scope**:
As a Manager - Strategic Affairs you will report directly to the Chief of Staff.
The role is an excellent opportunity to be involved in both the strategy and executive-level operations of a fast-paced growing tech conglomerate and its assets.
Your responsibilities will be shared between:
- Existing Portfolio: cross-Group projects and company-specific asset management and special projects (such as IPO events)
- Incubation and JVs: identifying, assessing and launching new businesses, organically or inorganically, independently or via Joint-Ventures or other partnership structures
You will be assigned and will be directly involved in the asset management of select G42 assets - working closely with the executive team of the company on strategy formulation, priority challenges resolution and growth initiatives. You will also be responsible to continuously assess and communicate to the Chief of Staff on asset status, needs, risks, goals, progress, and challenges.

**Responsibilities**:
**Special projects**
- Lead the development of Special Projects as approved by G42 Leadership team.
- Leverage consumer insights, market/industry trends and leading benchmarks to guide the implementation of special projects in G42 and its Business Units.
- Be the single point of oversight and coordination for select initiatives and projects and work closely with initiative owners to drive ideation and implementation.
**Portfolio Management**
- Lead the development of the assigned portfolio’s strategy and drive maximum possible value from change initiatives in the given portfolio, which may include one or more G42 Business Units.
- Act as partners in objective reviews of the overall portfolio or specific elements, to provide an accurate, fact-based assessment of its performance.
- Conduct an independent review of the maturity of current processes, techniques, tools and competencies, considering scale and complexity, and assessing them against the maturity levels of G42.
- Maintain excellent understanding on business nature, operating model, costs and leverage consumer insights, market/industry trends and leading benchmarks to identify growth or company optimization opportunities and guide the implementation of special projects within the asset / portfolio.
- Assist in the comprehensive and sustainable development of the portfolio including tools, techniques, processes, practices and trainings.
- Assist in identifying and implementing special projects, driving synergies across G42.
- Achieve and sustain alignment between the change initiatives and G42's business strategy.
- Advise Business Units in structuring governance and project management approaches, surface areas of concern and drive systemic resolution of issues.
- Provide guidance in termination or de-scoping of programs with a low contribution, minimizing future costs.
- Compiles and presents asset management reports to Chief of Staff and the Chairman.
- Provide any other support, as required, to increase the visibility of portfolio’s performance.
**Incubation and Joint Ventures**
- Ideation/identification, assessment, business case development, and launch of new businesses / JVs
- Lead the ideation process, as part of incubation, to formulate new business concepts and develop agile processes to accelerate the same.
- Evaluate the market potential of ideas generated and run initial feasibility assessment.
- Lead negotiations with JV partners (termsheet, SHA), business plan development
- Oversee and manage the performance of newly incubated businesses.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Strategy, related fields or other Quantitative Disciplines
- 5-7 years of experience in consulting or investment banking
- Excellent leadership and managerial skills, independent project/program owner
