As an Assistant Manager - Technical Services, you will support the Vice President of Property Management & Engineering in overseeing the engineering functions across all operating hotels in the Middle East and Africa region. This role involves strategic, administrative, financial, sustainability, pre-opening, and operational oversight of the engineering departments. The position ensures the successful implementation of company strategies and compliance with local, state and federal regulations, focusing on optimizing efficiency, sustainability, and operational excellence within the region’s properties.

**Key Job Responsibilities**:

- Cascade and oversee the execution of company strategies across all operating hotels within the region.
- Monitor and ensure the effective maintenance performance of all operating hotels.
- Assist in conducting annual Engineering and Risk Management audits, prepare comprehensive reports, and track the completion of audit findings.
- Aid in the development and implementation of plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds, and other assets in a safe and acceptable state of repair.
- Assist in the recruitment of Directors of Engineering or Chief Engineers for operating hotels as required.
- Ensure all hotels comply with local, state, and federal laws, including environmental and safety regulations.
- Ensure the implementation of effective Energy Management and Preventive Maintenance programs.
- Consolidate and review monthly, quarterly, and yearly performance reports, focusing on sustainability goals, operations, maintenance, and energy conservation. Ensure reports are uploaded to the designated OneDrive.
- Assist in providing baseline data for energy and water utilities through regression analysis.
- Perform reviews and analyses of reporting data provided by the hotels.
- Implement strategies to optimize utility consumption and reduce operational costs.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of the Integrated Workplace Management System (Samfex).
- Review the monthly performance and colleagues’ productivity metrics of hotels via the Samfex Dashboard.
- Organize the annual Millennium Engineers Meeting for all Directors of Engineering / Chief Engineers across the operating hotels.
- Support the implementation of strategies to enhance efficiency and address environmental and social concerns.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for engineering operations within the operating hotels.
- Conduct technical reviews of FF&E and CAPEX approval forms as required by operating hotels.
- Attend Business Review Meetings as needed to provide technical insights.
- Assist in reviewing annual budget instructions in collaboration with the VP of Property Management & Engineering.
- Support the review of contract approvals and annual POMEC budgets, including the FF&E budget, from operating hotels.
- Assist in creating personal development plans for Directors of Engineering / Chief Engineers to retain and nurture talent within the company.
- Act as the point of contact for the Singapore/Global office to support their requirements related to hotel engineering data.
- Ensure that all hotels adhere to Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Operational Standards Manuals (OSM).
