**The Role**:
As our CEO, you will be the driving force behind our mission to establish a leading digital bank. This role requires a strategic visionary with a proven track record in the banking industry, particularly within leadership roles at top banks in the UAE. You will be responsible for setting the overall strategic direction, leading the company from the grassroots level, and ensuring our growth objectives are met with innovative solutions.
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 18+ years in the banking industry, with at least 10 years in leadership roles overseeing significant portfolios or projects, including direct experience with the Central Bank of UAE's regulatory framework.
- Proven track record of success in senior leadership positions, preferably within the digital banking space or fintech sectors, with specific experience in navigating the Central Bank of UAE's licensing process, compliance requirements, and operational guidelines.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, leading transformations, and driving innovation within financial services, with a detailed understanding of:
- Retail Banking: Experience in managing retail banking operations in compliance with Central Bank of UAE regulations, focusing on customer experience and digital product development.
- Corporate Banking: Strong background in corporate banking services, including compliance with the Central Bank of UAE's financing solutions, treasury management, and corporate advisory services regulations.
- Wealth Management and Private Banking: Knowledge of wealth management and private banking services, ensuring adherence to the Central Bank of UAE's high-net-worth client relations and portfolio management standards.
- Digital Banking and Fintech: In-depth understanding of the Central Bank of UAE's stance on digital transformation, mobile banking, online services, and fintech partnerships to enhance banking operations and customer service.
**Academic Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
- MBA or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field is highly preferred.
**Accreditations and Certifications**:
- Professional certifications such as Certified Bank Director (CBD), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or similar credentials are highly regarded.
- Specific accreditation or training on the Central Bank of UAE's regulatory framework and compliance standards is desirable.
**Skills and Competencies**:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Central Bank of UAE's regulations, guidelines, and licensing requirements is essential for establishing and operating a bank in the UAE.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategies in compliance with the Central Bank of UAE's norms, ensuring the bank's operations meet all regulatory standards and exceed industry benchmarks.
- Strong leadership skills, with the capacity to navigate the bank through the licensing process, conceptualization, and operational setup, aligning with the Central Bank of UAE's vision for innovation and customer service excellence.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of liaising effectively with the Central Bank of UAE, financial institutions, investors, and other key partners.
