Business Development Manager-Catering

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in identifying developing and maintaining business opportunities for the catering company. This position involves creating and implementing effective strategies to expand the client base increase revenue and foster longterm business relationships.

Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research:

    • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients market trends and competitors.
    • Analyze customer needs and preferences to tailor services and offerings accordingly.

  2. Client Acquisition:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation networking and cold calling.
    • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet and exceed sales targets.

  3. Proposal Development:

    • Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to customize catering solutions that meet client requirements.

  4. Negotiation and Closing:

    • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
    • Close deals and finalize contracts adhering to company policies and legal requirements.

  5. Relationship Management:

    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
    • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to address concerns and facilitate smooth operations.

  6. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
    • Collaborate with operations and culinary teams to ensure seamless execution of catering services.

  7. Market Expansion:

    • Identify opportunities for market expansion and business growth.
    • Explore and enter new geographical markets or segments to diversify the client portfolio.

  8. Reporting and Analysis:

    • Prepare regular reports on sales performance market trends and competitor activities.
    • Analyze data to make informed decisions and recommendations for business development strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Marketing or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in business development sales or a related role within the catering or hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of the catering industry market dynamics and customer behavior.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Resultsdriven with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
