Head of Business Development
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives on a global scale.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive threats within the events industry.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Revenue Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiating contracts and closing deals to achieve revenue targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and creative teams to ensure seamless execution of business strategies and client initiatives.
- Global Expansion: Explore and drive opportunities for international growth, adapting strategies to fit diverse markets and cultural contexts.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business development efforts and adjust strategies accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles, with a strong focus on the events or hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of successfully driving growth and revenue in a global context.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
- Experience with GCC clients is a major bonus.
