JobOverview 

TheContracts Manager will be responsiblefor overseeing and managing allcontractrelated activities for therail projectduring theconstructionphase. This role involves ensuring compliance with contractualobligations managing contract negotiations and providing supportduring the construction supervision phase. The Contracts Managerwill work closely with various departments to ensure the successfulexecution of the project.Minimum1520years of experience in relevantfield. 

RolesandResponsibilities: 

  • ContractManagement: Oversee the administration of all contracts related tothe project ensuring compliance with legal financial and corporateprotocols. 

    • Negotiations:Lead negotiations for complex contractual issuesrepresenting theorganization in discussions with clients contractors and otherstakeholders. 

      • RiskManagement:Identify andmitigate contractual risks providing advice on potentialopportunities andthreats. 

        • ProgressReporting: Provide regular progress reports to the client andinternal stakeholders highlighting any contractual risks andopportunities. 

          • ClaimsManagement: Liaise with the Claims Manager to ensure a robustresponse to any claims in compliance with thecontract. 

            • TechnicalData Provision: Ensure the provision of all necessary technicaldata to the Contract Administration SeniorManager. 

              • ContractualPresentations: Prepare and deliver contractual presentations asrequired. 

                • Liaisonwith Departments: Work closely with the required departments toensure compliance with any legal financial and corporateprotocols. 

                  • ContractualProgress Meetings: Drive progression via contractual progressmeetings ensuring all contractual obligations aremet. 

Qualificationsand EducationalRequirements: 

  • Bachelorsdegree in Engineering ConstructionManagement Business Administration or a related field. AMasters degree ispreferred. 

    • Professionalcertifications such as Certified Professional Contracts Manager(CPCM) or equivalent are highlydesirable. 

KnowledgeandExperience: 

  • Minimumof 1520 years ofexperience in contract management preferably in the construction orinfrastructuresector. 

    • Indepthknowledge of contract law construction contracts and industrystandards. Familiarity with FIDIC contracts is aplus. 

      • Strongnegotiation communication and interpersonal skills. Ability tomanage multiple contracts and stakeholderseffectively. 

        • Priorexperience working on arail ortransportation project will be aplus. 

PreferredSkills: 

Stronganalytical and problemsolving skills with the ability toidentify andmitigaterisks. 

Highlevel of attention to detail ensuringaccuracy in contractadministration. 

Provenleadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate ateam. 

Experiencein project management with the ability to manage complex projectsand meetdeadlines.
