EssentialResponsibilities

  • Routinely takes usual and specialprecautions relative to the age, medical history, condition of thepatient, and the type of treatment beinggiven.
  • Documents clinical activities in atimely manner.
  • Documentation is legible,comprehensive and accurate.
  • OrganizationalRules, Policies and Procedures Observes all applicable Regional,Medical Center & department policies andprocedures.
  • Adheres to Attendancepolicy.
  • Adheres to TIME Systempractice.
  • Adheres to Personal Phone Callpolicy.

  • Accountable to attend at least 50% ofstaff meetings and inservices and responsible for all content ofstaff meetings/inservice presentations by attendance or reviewingminutes.
  • Quality and Service - Responsive tothe needs of others maintaining a professional behavior towardmembers and co-workers and creating a positive image for thedepartment.
  • Establishes and maintainscourteous, cooperative relations with public, patients, families,and personnel.
  • Informs patients of reason forany delays or anticipated delays in theircare.

  • Ability tofunction with a minimum of supervision utilizing nursing problemsolving techniques.
  • Takes initiative torecognize and evaluate area ofconcern.
  • Improvises to find solutions andinitiates appropriatefollow-through.
  • Knowledgeable of andparticipates in unit quality improvement and the Inpatient NursingQuality Indicator Program.
  • Productivity - Ableto manage care for assigned patients.
  • Adjust tofluctuations in workload, within designated workhours.
  • Demonstrates flexibility to function ina variety of settings based on individualskills.
  • Equipment & Supplies forGeneral Floor Care Areas Maintains and utilizes equipment, suppliesand work area in accordance with departmentguidelines.
  • Promptly reports equipmentmalfunctions to Unit Assistant.

Experience

BasicQualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience inprevious three (3) years as an LVN in an acute hospital,outpatient, or Home Health/Hospice setting. Or completion of NewGraduate LVN training program.

License, Certification,Registration

  • VocationalNurse License (California)
  • I.V. Certificationwithin 3 months of hire
  • Basic LifeSupport

  • Maintains current IVcertification; If no IV certificate, will be required to attend andpass a Kaiser Permanente IV certification training.
