Roles and responsibilitiesWe are seeking a skilled Instructional Designer to create engaging learning and practice experiences for learners.The primary objective is to facilitate the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and captivating manner.As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing instructional materials, incorporating instructional design principles and technologies within an LMS platform. Your expertise in curriculum development and instructional strategies will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality learning experiences.Ultimately, the role will contribute to the success of learners by fostering their growth and development through well-designed and impactful instructional programs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the learning journey of individuals.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transferWork with subject matter experts and identify target audience's training needsState instructional end goals and create content that matches themVisualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished productConduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contextsApply tested instructional design theories, practice and methodsProvide exercises and activities that enhance the learning processCreate supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)Decide on the criteria used to judge learner's performance and develop assessment instrumentsMaintain project documentation, course folders in and outside of the LMS platformDesired QualificationsBachelor's Degree: instructional design, education, instructional technology, or a related field or 3 years in-role experienceProficient in Articulate 360 or similar SCORM software creatorDesign skills within the Adobe suite for PDFs, image designFamiliarity with LMS systemsFamiliarity with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet ExplorerExcellent English language skillsDesired candidate profileInstructional DesignApplying learning theories (e.g., ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy) to design effective curricula.Structuring content to ensure clear learning objectives, progression, and assessments.User-Centered DesignUnderstanding the needs, preferences, and behaviors of learners to design engaging experiences.Conducting learner research through surveys, interviews, or focus groups.Creativity and InnovationDesigning interactive, multimedia-rich content (e.g., videos, gamification, simulations).Creating diverse learning paths to engage different learning styles.Technology ProficiencyExpertise with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and content creation tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).Familiarity with digital learning platforms, online assessments, and analytics tools.Curriculum DevelopmentOrganizing and sequencing content in a way that supports learner engagement and retention.Writing clear, concise, and learner-friendly instructional materials.Assessment and EvaluationDesigning assessments (e.g., quizzes, exams, projects) that effectively measure learner progress.Analyzing learner data to identify areas for improvement in the design.Collaboration and CommunicationCollaborating with subject matter experts, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals.Communicating complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Project ManagementManaging timelines, resources, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time.Prioritizing tasks and adapting to changes in project scope.Evaluation and Continuous ImprovementGathering learner feedback and performance data to refine and improve learning experiences.Staying updated with trends in educational technology and learner engagement.Typical Responsibilities of a Learning Experience DesignerDesigning and developing engaging learning experiences that meet the needs of learners.Collaborating with content experts to curate educational materials.Developing instructional content for various formats (e.g., eLearning modules, instructor-led training).Creating assessments and evaluations to measure learner success.Implementing learning technologies (e.g., LMS, eLearning authoring tools) to deliver content.Continuously evaluating the effectiveness of learning experiences and making improvements.Ensuring that learning experiences are aligned with organizational goals and learner needs.Work EnvironmentLearning Experience Designers work in a variety of settings, including corporate training departments, eLearning companies, universities, non-profit organizations, and consultancies.They may collaborate remotely or in-person with cross-functional teams, depending on the company or project.#J-18808-Ljbffr
