Head of International Expansion

To drive the next phase of our growth, we are looking for an accomplished and visionary Head of International Expansion to lead our strategic expansion across North America, Southeast Asia (SEA), Africa, and Russia. This pivotal role will be responsible for shaping and executing market entry strategies, cultivating strong regional partnerships, and ensuring the sustainable and profitable expansion of our brand in high-potential markets. The successful candidate will be instrumental in preserving our luxury brand's premium positioning, while aligning operational and financial objectives to drive excellence and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Entry Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive market entry strategies and Go-To-Market (GTM) plans for North America, SEA, Africa, and Russia, ensuring alignment with our company's global growth objectives and luxury positioning.
  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Lead in-depth market research to identify emerging opportunities, evaluate competitive landscapes, and analyze consumer behavior in target regions to inform strategic decisions.
  • KPI & Performance Metrics: Establish measurable market objectives and KPIs, ensuring the alignment of regional performance with global strategic priorities and luxury brand standards.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Build, lead, and mentor high-performing cross-functional teams across key regions, establishing best practices for managing regional operations, partnerships, and market execution.
  • Strategic Partnerships & Negotiations: Identify, negotiate, and formalize key partnerships with local distributors, retailers, and stakeholders to support brand expansion and distribution strategies.
  • Operational Infrastructure Setup: Oversee the operational setup for each region, including regulatory compliance, legal structures, supply chain management, logistics, and market-specific needs to ensure smooth market entry and growth.
  • Localized Marketing Strategy Execution: Develop and oversee the execution of region-specific marketing campaigns to build brand recognition, drive customer engagement, and support market penetration.
  • Operational Readiness & Compliance: Ensure seamless integration of logistical operations, inventory management, and local compliance to guarantee smooth and efficient market rollouts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal departments, including Marketing, Finance, and Product Development, to ensure that global strategies are adapted and executed effectively at the local level.

Functional Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation
  • Expertise in business development and the creation of strategic partnerships
  • In-depth understanding of sales, marketing , and retail operations within the luxury sector
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance and regional/local business laws
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills , with the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in international market expansion, business development, or similar roles
  • Proven success in leading and executing expansion initiatives in multi-functional, complex organizations
  • Hands-on experience in key global markets including Southeast Asia, North America, Russia, and the UK
  • Extensive experience in the luxury sector or related industries, with a deep understanding of regional business practices, consumer behaviors, and market dynamics
  • Strong track record in managing large-scale market entry operations and delivering financial results
