Hartland International School are seeking to appoint a dynamic and skilled Learning Support Assistant to join our secondary inclusion team from August 2024.

The school which opened in September 2015, has already established a reputation for excellence in learning, teaching and leadership in the region. The Post

The successful candidate will have experience of working within a school setting supporting Students of Determination, English Language Learners, and/or Learning Support Students. Experience of delivering small group and one to one intervention sessions focused on literacy and mathematics is essential, as is the ability to monitor, maintain and review records of student progress over time. The ideal candidate will have a passion for English and/or Mathematics and have studied these to a GCSE or equivalent level.

Working with a range of inclusion and subject teachers requires the candidate to have excellent communication skills along with valuing and recognising the importance of teamwork. A passionate and driven practitioner who truly cares about the students, parents and staff they will be working with is the candidate we want as part of our Hartland Team.

The successful applicant will have:


• Minimum A Level school certificates


• A GCSE in English or Mathematics or equivalent qualification


• The ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both spoken and written English.


• Relevant qualifications/training linked to special educational needs and/or English Language Learners.


• Prior experience working in a secondary school setting


• Have exceptional communication skills


• Be committed to the Hartland Values which can be found on our website
