Applicants with Bachelor in a related Subject must have coursework as per ADEK inclusion policy requirments and 5 Years of experinece as an inclusion teacher or any other inclusion -related senior leader in a schoolA minimum of IELTS 6 or equivalent (Valid), in addition to advanced profiency in English and Arabic languages.

Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Head of Inclusion will pledge his/her commitment to help the school achieve its mission, goals,and vision; value community; bring a spirit of enthusiasm, energy, and willingness to take thoughtfulinitiative in a collaborative setting.

She/he will work with children who need extra support to fulfiltheir potential and gifted students and should be committed to further the intellectual and personaldevelopment of students, inspiring and empowering them to become positive, active global citizens.

The Head of Inclusion will work closely with Principal, Vice Principal, and section Principals. As well assupporting the admissions and registration for any new students.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesSummary:
In consultation with the Principal/Vice Principal/Section Principal/Head office Inclusion Specialist:

  • Construct a Development and Improvement Plan, defining short, medium and long-term goalsof the department using assessment data as well as ADEKand Accreditationagencies reports.
  • Provide the administrative framework through which students and staff may functioneffectively.
  • Oversee the implementation and evaluation of the Development and Improvement Plan.
  • Prepare the department for internal and external school inspection and accreditation visitssuch as ADEK KHDA, NEASC-CIS, MOE, etc.
  • Identify professional development areas and needs.
Uphold the code of conduct and all school policies at Al Ittihad Schools.

  • Liaise with External Support Centers for the continuity of support and learning for students.
  • Engage with the administration in a committed effort to improve instructional skills.
  • Openly support and abide by all school policies and procedures.
  • Model the 'Core Values' of the school in interactions with the school community.
  • Liaise with the Principal, taking on tasks as assigned, including all school goals.
  • Demonstrate commitment to personal continuous professional growth and development.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Serve as the official liaison between the school and the respective Curriculum Supervisor in theCurriculum Development Department.
  • Participate in formal class observations of colleagues in the subject area and provide appropriatepeer assistance, feedback, and possible solutions.
  • Initiate and participate in teachers' professional development activities including orientation andtraining of new teachers.
  • Undertake related tasks as assigned senior leadership team.
