Hartland International School seeks to appoint an exceptional Teacher of ELL (Secondary) to support our expansion and provision across the school.

The Post

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals who are passionate and forward thinking and who will thrive in the vibrant learning environment of Hartland. By being ambitious, not only for students but for yourself, you will help us maintain, refine and enhance a successful programme of study in the Inclusion department by sharing in the responsibility for teaching, learning, enrichment and pastoral care. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to our unique and strong enrichment programme which ensures that learning and opportunity are diverse for all. A willingness to teach across the primary and secondary phase is an expectation.

At this time, we are looking to appoint an experienced ELL Teacher who has worked in a Secondary setting. You must have the confidence to plan and deliver lessons to small groups of children across the full age range. The successful candidate will join an experienced and committed staff team and will operate in a school where facilities are of an exceptionally high standard with to ensure the highest quality of delivery.

The successful candidate will:


• Hold a relevant degree, teaching qualification and a qualification to support English Language Learners


• Have experience of teaching the National Curriculum for England or International Baccalaureate whether that be in the UK or in an international setting


• Previous experience facilitating IELTS/TOEFL exam preparation and/or ESL IGCSE coursework preferred


• Have a minimum 4 years classroom-based experience


• Be committed to the Hartland Values which can be found on our website
