Hartland International School seeks to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Design Technology to support our expansion and provision across this phase of the school.

The school which opened in September 2015, has already established a reputation for excellence in learning, teaching and leadership in the region. The Post
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals who are passionate and forward thinking and who will thrive in the vibrant learning environment of Hartland. By being ambitious, not only for students but for yourself, you will help us build and maintain a successful programme of study in Design Technology by sharing in the responsibility for teaching, learning, enrichment and pastoral care. The successful candidate will also be expected to make a contribution to our unique and strong enrichment programme which ensures that learning and opportunity are diverse for all.
The Design Technology department currently has 4 teachers and a full-time technician. Design Technology is taught from Year 2 to Year 13. At GCSE we offer the AQA in Design Technology, with the A Level being offered in Edexcel Product Design.
The successful candidate will:
• Hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification
• Have experience of teaching Design Technology whether that be in the UK or in an international setting
• Must be able to teach to KS3 and one of them to A Level standard
• Have a proven track record of exceptional results in the teaching of GCSE and A Level or IB Diploma.
• Have a minimum two years teaching experience
• Have exceptional communication skills
• Be committed to the Hartland Values which can be found on our website
