Hartland International School seeks to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Primary French and Spanish to support our expansion and provision across this phase of the school.
Our School
The school which opened in September 2015, has already established a reputation for excellence in learning, teaching and leadership in the region. Our student body consists of just over 1700 students from over 108 nationalities, making Hartland a truly international community where a strong blend of academic challenge, enrichment opportunities and pastoral support for all, targets and inspires excellence. The Post
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals who are passionate and forward thinking and who will thrive in the vibrant learning environment of Hartland. By being ambitious, not only for students but for yourself, you will help us maintain, refine and enhance a successful programme of study in MFL by sharing in the responsibility for teaching, learning, enrichment and pastoral care. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to our unique and strong enrichment programme which ensures that learning and opportunity are diverse for all.
The MFL department currently consists of 6 staff who collectively offer Spanish, French, German, Italian and Mandarin. Students in KS4 do the IGCSE exam with Edexcel and KS5 students do A-level with AQA. We had 100% students achieve grades 5-9 in KS4
The successful candidate will:
· Hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification
· Have experience of teaching French and Spanish whether that be in the UK or in an international setting
· Have a minimum three years teaching experience
· Have experience of teaching in the Primary department
· Have exceptional communication skills
