  • Responsible for doing allpreparations before and during the service, like preparing tablesand polish cutlery.
  • Keeping track of the stockand supplies in the restaurant and communicating where there mightbe a shortage like linen, glasswork etc.
  • Havean extensive knowledge of the menu's and otherF&B outlets.
  • Serving in eitherconference rooms or other F&B outlets ifrequired.
  • Taking orders from the guests,explaining the menu and advising the guest on their decisionmaking.
  • Liaising with management for advice ifrequired.
  • Communicating with the kitchen aboutthe orders and being very clear about special wishes ofguests.
  • Consistently upsell of food andbeverages and making guests aware ofpromotions.
  • If necessary preparing orders likedrinks and preparing snacks, bread.
  • Serving atparties and reception if required.
  • Dealing withthe payments and doing closure paperwork ifrequired.
  • Serving the guests with all food andbeverage requirements during their stay in an attentive andefficient way.
  • Taking reservations, incorporation with the supervisor and hostess/host if necessarybecause of special requests of theguest.
  • Responsible for cleaning tasks duringand after service.
  • Making sure that all theguest areas look immaculate.
  • Attenddepartmental meetings if required.
