Job Purpose:


The jobholder will be monitoring all the activities through the monitors located in the Control Room, and report on urgent basis for any abnormal facts to the concerned department.

Also monitoring all Preventive and Corrective (Break-down) Maintenance done by engineering staffs by ensuring that proper documents have been prepared and completed with the use of ERP System (Enterprise Resource Planning).

Job holder will be responsible to give detailed and accurate report of pending maintenance request to the concerned section and assist all administrative concerns within the Engineering Department

Key Result Areas:

ERP Administrator

  • Responsible for receiving and monitoring of Maintenance Request Job through ERP System (Entrepreneur Resource Planning), either Preventive (Asset) Maintenance or Corrective (Break-down) Maintenance.
  • Guides Maintenance Engineering Team by proper assigning of job request to the responsible group or package.
  • Provides forecast/planned schedule for the delivery of blanket ordered items.
  • Provides the required reports by the Assistant Vice President-Engineering on weekly and monthly basis by generating it through ERP System.
  • Coordinates with CPD (Central Purchasing Department) requisitions for follow-up.
  • Arrange and interprets all required reports by the Engineering Department and ERP Personnel.
  • Should ensure that the correct data are encoded, and standard procedure was performed in the ERP System, starting from receiving the maintenance request up to closing the maintenance job.
  • Should ensure that all materials required by the maintenance team are ordered properly on the requested date.
Control Room Administrator

  • Monitor all systems located in the control room and ensure online reporting of status of the system.
  • Use common languages with the Technical and Operation people and ensure proper information dissemination to achieve best communication level.
  • Review the previous shift incident through MIS.
  • Coordinates all scheduled Preventive Maintenance, Shutdown, Normal and Emergency Operation to all concerned departments. Report and coordinates all alarms / fault encountered during the shift to the supervisor in-charge and to the concern department if required. 5. Develop in consultation with the Process Engineer a plan to maintain and improve the delivery of work.
  • Attend calls on daily basis with regards to the problem, alarms or faults to be rectified by the engineering staffs.
  • Validate the shift reports and proper turn over for follow up the pending issue.
Administrative

  • Responsible for monitoring the department attendance and overtime.
  • Prepares the schedule for the engineers on two weeks shifting basis.
  • Responsible for ordering and controlling Office Supplies/Stationeries.
  • Responsible for filing and documentation.

Job Context:


The job holder will be monitoring and controlling the Control Monitoring System (CMS) for all activities handled through control room with the presence of full team of technical people which provides efficient technical and maintenance support on 24/7 basis in all sections and departments of EKFC.

The job holder has experience and exposure to a similar environment.

The key challenge to the job is to ensure the best delivery of information to the concerned people along with adequate details and proper information.

The job holder will be to checking the current status, acknowledging all alarms and reporting it immediately to the Supervisor on duty (as per respective package), to attend and rectify all faults/alarm.

The job holder has to work in fully automated system environment and so needs IT related skills to understand the system functions and to have a very good analytical skill to read and experience appropriate action on the result or to the output of the automated / Control Monitoring System (CMS) and Management Information System (MIS).

The job holder is performing a function of a purchasing officer from monitoring the status of each maintenance request, he is also responsible for ordering the materials (either spare parts or consumable items) required to perform a particular maintenance job.

All types of requests prepared by the job holder are created through ERP System.

The job holder should also have knowledge in planning or forecasting, since some items/materials are ordered through blanket PO (Purchase Order).

As an ERP user, the job holder should not be just a user of the program but should be also knowledgeable of rectifying logical errors in the system which requires IT related skills.

Part of his/her duties also is to support on administrative concerns within the Engineering Department. The job holder is responsible to do the duty schedule for the engineers on two weeks shifting basis. Monitoring the attendance and overtime of each staff is also part of his responsibility.
