Job Overview
UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry.

This role is to develop, implement and deliver global driver development programs in line with UD Trucks offer throughout the regions ensuring customers fully experience the features and benefits of our product, and deliver good ownership experience and customer satisfaction.

Develop and deliver professional driver training courses for UD Trucks respective international markets.

Collaborate closely with market management teams and relevant Competence Development function to analyse the competence development needs in to improve customer's driver product knowledge for UD and driving skills, and to secure the relevant solutions.

Actively create/coach/drive & support markets with effective and high-quality implementation of all learning & development solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties
**Align CD initiatives with business requirements

  • Secure fulfilment of UD IS specific curricula based on business needs and priorities.
  • Identify the driver development courses that are considered mandatory by UD IS based on strategic objectives and projects.
  • Identify the bottomup market specific mandatory courses with each market management team based on local priorities.
  • Develop annual training plan and training budget (driver development)
  • Based on CD Process, be responsible for overall project management including analysis of needs, design and develop training content, pilot & implement on all driver development program.
  • Support markets to develop clear actions plans and corrective actions that will close key competence gaps and ensure followthrough on agreed actions.
  • Set training target, create evaluation structures to obtain required outcomes and Return on Investment.
  • Provide reporting as and when needed to management
  • Customise/adapt and coordinate translation of material as and when needed.
  • Source for training/ material development/ translation vendor with full adherence of the purchasing process and compliance
  • Leverage internal existing learning offerings from UD IS, UD Japan, UD Academy and other BA/BU.Work in close collaboration with the internal counterpart to source the suitable learning offerings
  • Support trainer development through the implementation of the trainer certification programme and 360 feedback (training execution observation and feedback) as and when applicable.
  • Support the training execution and LMS administration on other trainings as and when required (IT, connected service)

Develop driver development program

  • Implement a driver development "train the trainer" program through a planned delivery schedule, and ensure training is executed per training plan.
  • Understand the market and customer needs to develop a multitiered driver development program that will address the driver training needs of different customer groups.
  • Utilize telematics and other driver follow up tools for driver training and encourage their use.
  • Develop new components that can be incorporated within commercial/ product training portfolio based on internal or external requirements e.g., videos, literature, App's etc (in the form of Elearning, ILT, selfstudy), including the need of language translation
  • Support the Extra Mile Challenge (Driver competition) at Central and market level.
  • Develop and maintain a skilled driver training network
  • Map, coach & develop a training network within regions promoting a teamwork culture.
  • Assist regions with recruitment of driver trainers (if needed)
  • Prepare and deliver a driver skill assessment and certification programme.
  • Monitor and guide driver trainers in implementation of the driver development programs in their own regions / markets.
  • Provide specialist support to driver training programmes in markets for key customers.
  • Support market companies / importers to lobby with government, industry groups and customers to engage in minimum level of driver standards or to establish driver training schools.
  • Input driver demands into new product project as requested.

Manage vehicle launch training projects

  • Develop drivertraining packages (for the full range of products including new product launch and features update) to be offered by markets to customers in line with the UDIS commercial offers
  • Work in close collaboration with the relevant CD functions and commercial project team to support markets with the development and execution of new launch training implementation plans in line with market specific launch dates and requirements.
  • Monitor and report the training implementation status on a regular basis to project team, and other stakeholders. Ensure the respective Market Release Criteria is incorporated into eh driver development program.
